"I tend to forget how blessed I am for "small matters"― such as spending a day quietly, having my important people around me and being able to do things I like. And then it is not until I nearly lose them that I realize how fortunate I am. This ‘taking for granted’ must happen to everyone at least once in a life time and not only to me. ‘To show appreciation for small matters’ is in fact most difficult such that when you realize it, it may be too late. So, I want to be appreciative every day for what I am able to do, normal things and treasure each day. If everyone starts to value the same idea, then gradually this world will change for the better. Such repeated efforts will reduce the feeling of dissatisfaction, criticisms for others and, perhaps, even the war related issues will have a better solution." |
